Born 1952 in London

Schools – achieved 5 "O" levels before college where he attained a HNC in Mechanical Engineering. Later gained professional qualifications in Management Services and Computing

Employment – 4 year apprenticeship at The National Physical Laboratory then moved into Management Services and later became Head of Information Technology for a national Pharmaceutical Company. Gave that up and moved into Sales with a large Insurance company. Became involved in property development and built 2 houses and large renovations on 3 others before turning professional trading forex.

Trading – became involved in 1997 and started out as almost everyone does – losing! At this point it was only part-time as this coincided with the property development stage and allowed Matt time to gradually learn and gain experience trading. Starting out with daily charts on Commodity Options, then Futures, then day traded Equities and finally in 2004 "discovered" Forex. Took a year to perfect a successful trading method and since 2005, when he stopped any work on properties, has traded full time. 

Created a website in 2006 to explain to others how he traded Forex using "FiveTicFOREX" and shortly afterwards created "HowToDayTrade". Both have been updated (although the same trading principles remain) recently and Matt now offers "System17" as a systematic way to trade and "I Can Teach You to Trade" as the full educational course.
